Project Pericles Releases 2026-2028 Strategic Plan: “Shaping Civic Futures”
Project Pericles has unveiled Shaping Civic Futures, our 2026–2028 Strategic Plan to reimagine higher education’s role in strengthening democracy. Through three priorities (Pedagogical Influence, Consortium Strength, and Thought Leadership) we aim to renew civic learning as a defining feature of American higher education and ensure civic agency and engagement become defining outcomes for every student.

Project Pericles Hosts Civic Story Lab Closing Showcase
Following a semester of deep engagement, community collaboration, and narrative innovation, Project Pericles will host the Virtual Closing Program for the inaugural Civic Story Lab on May 27, 2026 from 2:30-3:30 PM ET. Open to the public, this event will showcase the work of seven college campus teams who have spent the spring semester developing stories to document and amplify civic stories from their communities.

What the Early Years Made Possible
By 2006, Project Pericles’ founding institutions were deep in the shared experiment of building civic engagement programs without a shared model. What they created in those early years helped set the standard for what civic education in higher education could look like.
