Project Pericles Releases 2026-2028 Strategic Plan: “Shaping Civic Futures”
Project Pericles has unveiled Shaping Civic Futures, our 2026–2028 Strategic Plan to reimagine higher education’s role in strengthening democracy. Through three priorities (Pedagogical Influence, Consortium Strength, and Thought Leadership) we aim to renew civic learning as a defining feature of American higher education and ensure civic agency and engagement become defining outcomes for every student.
The October Periclean (2025)
The October 2025 Periclean announces Shaping Civic Futures, Project Pericles’ new strategic plan outlining refreshed priorities for higher education and democracy. It also debuts our redesigned website and tagline, “Placing community-engaged civic learning at the heart of higher education.” Highlights include Sanda Balaban’s visit to The New School’s Social Justice Fair, the launch of $7,500 Civic Story Lab Grants, and final calls for Periclean Faculty and Civic Engagement Mini-Grant applications.
